The user can perform a Chemical Tagger NER (for more details please visit http://gate.ac.uk/sale/tao/splitch21.html#sec:parsers:chemistrytagger ).

Selecting Corpus, the user must press right mouse button an select Corpus -> NER -> Chemical Tagger

A GUI will be presented. The user can select targets

Ion ions (e.g. Fe3+, Cl-).

Compound compound formulas (e.g. SO2, H2O, H2SO4 ...).

Element element names and symbols (e.g. Sodium and Na).

PressingOk button the operations has lanched. Chemical Tagger NER operation will start and a small window will appear, indicating the execution of the operation and estimate time left and progress. The NER operation will take a few minutes or hours depending number of documents, document size and total resources terms.

When process finishing , a new NER Process object will be added to the Corpus Process View.
